【将来やりたいこと 素敵な家族】
My Dream—to Make a Happy Family
私の理想の素敵な家族というのは家族全員が仲良くて、家族と一緒に過ごす時間がとても楽しく、笑顔が絶えないような家族です。その(→そう思う)理由はいくつかあります。
For me, an ideal family is one in which each family member likes each other, spends good amount of time together and smiles all the time. Let me tell you the reasons why I think so.
1つ目は今僕の家族があまり仲良くないからです。
Firstly, my family is not in good terms with one another.
まず、母と父(があまり仲良くありません。二人)はいつもささいなことで喧嘩しています。
To begin with, my mom and dad are always fighting over trivials.
原因は色々あります。しかし、大抵は父の帰りが遅いことが原因です(→を怒っています)。
There are many causes. But she is mainly angry about my dad’s coming home late.
私は２人が喧嘩するといつも不愉快になります。なぜならば二人の喧嘩はとてもうるさいし、二人の機嫌が悪くなるからです。
I always feel bad when they fight because they are very loud and they both get very upset.
そんな時いつも二人の間に入って喧嘩をやめさせてくれるのは私の妹です。
The one who intervenes and stops their fight is my younger sister.
私は２人の喧嘩をやめさせることはできません。
That is something I cannot do.
それを妹はやってくれるのでとても助かっています。そんな妹を僕は尊敬しています。
It helps. I respect my sister.
2つ目は今家族での会話が全然ないからです。
Secondly, we have little family conversation.
私たちは以前、家族全員で夕飯を食べていました。
We used to have dinner together.
しかし、だんだん家族みんなが忙しくなってきていつしか別々に夕飯を食べるようになっていました。
But each of us became gradually busy and from some time we came to eat individually.
その結果、家族で会話する機会もどんどん減っていきました。
As a result, our opportunity to talk with each other decreased.
１人で夕飯を食べるのはとても寂しいです。
It is very sad to eat alone.
そういうわけで私は家族と過ごす毎日があまり楽しくありません。
So, I am not enjoying the everyday life with my family.
だから、私は大きくなったら素敵な家族を築きたいです。
And because of that, I feel I want to make a good family when I grow up.
将来、結婚して幸せに暮らしたいです。
I want to marry and live happily in the future.
もしできることなら子どもも授かりたいです。
I want kids, if possible.
笑顔が絶えない、元気でにぎやかな家庭にしていきたいです。
I want to make a happy family, full of smiles.
また、子どもとも沢山遊んであげたいです。
And I would like to play with my kids a lot.
父が忙しくてあまり家に帰ってこなかったので、私は小さいころあまり父と遊ぶことができませんでした。
My father was too busy to be at home very often and I could not play with him many times when I was little.
だからこそ私が父親になったら、子どもと遊園地や映画館にいったり、公園キャッチボールをしたり、夏にはプール、冬にはスキーに行ったりして沢山子どもにとの思い出を作っていきたいです。
So, when I become a father, I would like to take my kids to amusement parks, to the movies, to the park and play catch, and to the pool in summer and go skiing in winter. I want to make them many childhood memories.
このような夢が僕にはあります。
Those are my dreams.
それは決して大きな夢ではないかもしれません。
They may not be big ones.
こんな小さな夢だけれども、私はこれ以上の幸せはないと思っています。
Though they could be small dreams, for me, there is nothing better.
この夢を叶えるためにも、今は沢山勉強して、将来はちゃんと就職して家族を養っていきたいです。
To make these dreams come true, I want to study hard now, get a job and raise a family in the future.
しかし、今新たに近い将来にやりたいことが１つ増えました。先程も言ったように、私の家族はあまり仲良くありません。そこで今すぐにでも今の私の家族と仲良く暮らしたいです。大きくなって素敵な家族を築くのもいいことだと思います。
But there is one new thing I would like to do in the near future. Like I just said, our family relationship is not good. I want to live happily with my family right now. And it is also good to make a nice family when I grow up.

部屋について説明している件
私の部屋は家の２階にあります。
My room is on the second floor of the house.
広さは4畳半で日当たりのいい南側に面していて、大きな窓が二つあるので日当たりや風通しがとてもいいです。
It is a four-and-a-half-mat room on the south side with 2 windows that get good sunlight and fresh air.
部屋にはドアの横に学習机 その向かい側にベッド、隣にテレビ、北側の壁には大きめのクローゼットがあり、壁には好きな歌手のポスターがたくさん貼ってあります。
The room has a writing desk by the door, facing the bed. The TV is by the bed. There is a closet on the north wall. I have many posters of my favorite singer on the wall.
カーテンやベッドのシーツ、机の上にある小物類は最近気に入っている青色で統一していて、先週青の椅子も買いました。
The curtains, the bed sheet, things on my desk are united in blue, which I like these days. I also bought a blue chair last week.
床はカーペットで物音があまりしないので気に入ってますが、掃除が大変です。
The carpet floor is quiet and I like it but it is hard to clean up.
部屋の広さはあまり広いとは言えず、家具を置くと圧迫感がありますが 収納や家具の配置を工夫してなるべく広く使えるようにしています。
The room is not so big and the furniture is oppressive. But I try to keep the room spacious, arranging storage and where to put the furniture.
家の前には川があるので夏は涼しいですが、冬は少し寒く、朝になると窓に結露がたくさん出来るので困っています。
There is a river in front of my house, which makes it cool in summer but a little bit cold in winter and the windows condensate.
隣には同じ広さの兄の部屋もありますが、私の部屋とは雰囲気がかなり違い、兄の部屋にいると落ち着きません。
My elder brother’s room is beside mine. It is of the same size as my room but it looks very different. I feel uneasy in his room.
最近、漫画をたくさん収納できる本棚と冷蔵庫を買おうと思っているので部屋の模様替えをしようと思います。
I am planning to buy a fridge and a bookshelf to store many comic books. I am going to change the interior again.
以前住んでいた家には私の部屋はありませんでしたが、新しい家に引っ越す時は私の部屋も必要だろうと両親が判断し、私専用の部屋を用意してくれました。
In our former house, I did not have a room of my own. When we moved into our new house, my parents decided I had to have one, and gave me this room.
それまでは勉強は家族がいるリビングでしていて、私物も兄と一緒に管理されていたので
新しく自分の部屋が出来てプライベートな空間ができ、とても嬉しかったです。
Before that, I used to study in the living room. Other family members were there, too. My things were managed together with my brother’s. So I was very happy to have my own room, a private space.
壁が薄くて他の部屋から音が聞こえてくるのと、冬は結露が出来てしまうことは残念ですが 他の点は気に入っています
The sounds I hear from other rooms through the thin wall and the window condensation during winter are disappointing but other than those points, I like my room.
